Call forwarding codes for A1, Magenta and Drei in Austria

September 3, 2026 · PhoneMyAgent Team

A1, Magenta and Drei all take the GSM forwarding codes: **21*NUMBER# forwards every call, **61*NUMBER# only the ones you do not answer, **67*NUMBER# only when you are busy, **62*NUMBER# only when you cannot be reached, and ##002# clears every forward at once, with the destination written in international form as +43664... without spaces. The differences between the three networks are in the details: A1 rings for 25 seconds before an unanswered call forwards, Magenta and Drei let you write the ring time into the code, and Drei's own landline products cannot forward at all.

What is the same on all three

Rule Dial to set Dial to cancel
Forward all calls **21*NUMBER# ##21#
Only when you do not answer **61*NUMBER# ##61#
Only when busy **67*NUMBER# ##67#
Only when unreachable **62*NUMBER# ##62#
Clear every forward ##002#

Type the code, press call, wait for the confirmation. Most businesses want the second rule: the phone rings for you first and only what you leave gets forwarded. Add the third and the fourth and no call is lost, whether you are already on the line or standing in a cellar.

A1

A1 prints exactly these codes in its own code sheet, with the destination shown as +43664.... Two things are A1's own. The timing: an unanswered call forwards after 25 seconds, and the sheet gives no way to change that inside the code. And a shortcut: **004*NUMBER# switches on the busy, unanswered and unreachable rules together, ##004# switches them off again.

Without codes, the Mein A1 app does it: pick the number, Verwalten, then Anrufe und Umleitungen, and Einrichten under Mobilbox und Rufumleitung. The app also offers a time-limited forward, handy for a holiday with an end date.

Magenta

Magenta's own code sheet is the most complete of the three. Every rule has a check code that changes nothing and only reports whether the rule is on and where it points: *#21#, *#61#, *#67# and *#62#. If you have found a forward you do not remember setting, that is how you see it.

The ring time before an unanswered call forwards goes into the code itself on Magenta: **61*NUMBER**30#, the seconds before the final hash. Twenty is the default and thirty the most it allows. Like A1, Magenta has **004*NUMBER# for all three conditional rules at once.

Drei

Drei describes the codes in its own Samsung and iPhone guides: **21*, **62* and **67* as above, and for unanswered calls **61*NUMBER**20#, where 20 is the ring time in seconds and 5 to 30 are allowed. Switching off is ## plus the rule number, so ##21#, ##61# and so on.

Drei also lets you set forwards in its Kundenzone under Einstellungen and Anrufeinstellung, but only to Austrian numbers; a forward to a foreign number is set on the phone, and Drei notes that it may cost. And one thing to know before you go looking: on the landline products where Drei bills the base fee, forwarding is not possible.

Landlines

The codes above are mobile codes. A landline is forwarded in the provider's portal, its app, or with the provider's own codes, and on some products not at all. Ask whoever bills the line before trying codes meant for the mobile network.

What a forwarded call costs

That is in your tariff, not in a blog. A forwarded leg is technically a call from your number to the destination, and whether it comes out of your inclusive minutes or is charged on top depends on the tariff and the destination. Check before leaving a forward on permanently.

Where the calls can go

Any number that answers. With PhoneMyAgent it is the number your AI agent answers on: it picks up in your business name, answers from your own documents, books appointments where you allow it, takes messages, and emails you a transcript after every call. Your dashboard shows the A1, Magenta and Drei codes with your own number already filled in, so you only copy them. The number your customers know stays as it is. Every account starts with 45 free minutes and no card; the plans are on our pricing page.

For what the codes mean in general, see call forwarding codes explained; for keeping your number, keep your number and forward your line to an AI.

What forwarding will and won't do

It moves the call and leaves the number where it is; everything printed and listed keeps working. It is gone again in seconds. And it is never smarter than the rule you set: forward everything and your own phone stops ringing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I switch call forwarding off on A1?

Dial ##002# to clear every forward, ##21#, ##61#, ##67# or ##62# to clear one rule, or ##004# to clear the three conditional rules set by **004*. The Mein A1 app does the same under Anrufe und Umleitungen.

What is the call forwarding code on Magenta?

**21*NUMBER# for all calls, **61*NUMBER# when unanswered, **67*NUMBER# when busy, **62*NUMBER# when unreachable, each switched off with ## in place of ** and no number. *#21# and the other check codes show what is active.

Can I forward on Drei only when I do not answer?

Yes, with **61*NUMBER**20#. The 20 is the ring time in seconds, and 5 to 30 are allowed. ##61# switches the rule off.

What does ##002# do?

It clears every forwarding rule at once, on all three networks. It is the right code when you do not know which rule is sending your calls elsewhere.

Does the destination have to start with +43?

For the mobile codes, yes: A1's sheet shows the number as +43664... and Drei says to include the country code. The international form works on all three networks.

Do the codes work on a landline?

Not in this form. Landline and VoIP lines are forwarded in the portal, the app or with the provider's own codes, and Drei's landline products cannot forward. Ask your provider.
